HACORWA in association with Gahanga Cell cooperated to prepare a football tournament for the youth members of the villages. The tournaments took place on August 23-26, 2023. The games competitions were organized to help the youth detect and develop their talents. Men who participated in football tournament were from the villages of GATOVU, UBUMWE, GAHANGA, and RININI. The women teams from RININI and GATOVU villages participated in the running (Agati) competitions. Before games competitions started there was an opening ceremony where Rev. Sereine, the Legal Representative told the participants as well as the spectators the theme of the competition. She explained the HACORWA plan to sensitize youths
Apart from that theme, she also explained social inclusion and gender equity and balance. The reason why HACORWA wanted the games competitions includes people living with disability and women. She requested players to have mutual respect and a sense of fair play towards each other. To end, she that HACORWA wants to create and manage Children and Youth Teams in Gahanga Sector. they will make those football teams be able to grow, compete and register in national league of Football Federation (FERWAFA).
